This is a photosession of a sorting exercise (3 photos) with my Uvy for the KNPV base program.
The training with Uvy passes off succesfull, is is now almost 16 months old.
The helper keeps the two tubes 3 minutes in her hands in order to put her scent on it.
The tubes are of stainless steel 2 cm x 2cm x 10 cm, wallthickness 0,2 cm according the regulations.
They are neutralized in boiling water.
The sortingtable with a lenght of 2 meters with three tubes of different scent
The helper put one of her two tubes between in the tubes
She "lost" her other tube at 3 meters disctance of the sortingtable
The handler takes up the lost tube with a par of neutralized tongs and gloves
The handler let the dog take scent of the helper on the lost tube
On command the dog goes to the sortingtable in order to investigate the tubes
The dog selects the tube with scent of the helper, takes it up and she brings it to the handler

For this purpose I shortened and simplified the track, but I have still a lot of pictures.
The track has 4 changes of direction, one semicircle and a road.

On 29-11-2008 I passed with Uvy her basecertificate "Searching dogs" at the KNPV club "Reek".
