Being the grandfather of survey bred dogs in the Netherlands (07-2003) Robby’s name appears 90 times. As comparison, another greatness from another (kynologic) bloodline: Odin v Tannenmeise who was born 5 years after Robby, appears 65 times as grandfather in a in the Netherlands breeding survey.
Robby’s part in Germany is not that big, measured by the off-spring through the father-line in the Bundessiegerprüfung. His best inheriting sons and daughter however were bred in the Netherlands.
Pascha was a “Sensibele Hund”, according to the owner. This term is often used for dogs with Eastern blood. Sensible in regards to dogs has another meaning than in regards to humans. With the dog, it can be explained as unstable and highly sensitive to both positive and negative stimulants from its surroundings or its handler. The dog reacts strongly to (small) changes compared to more stable dogs. Incorrect use of this sensibility can result in overreacting dogs or nervous wracks. The correct approach towards this behaviour however can result in a fine working dog. Therefore the handler/owner needs to know how to treat this characteristic in the dog.
In 1985 in the Netherlands there was an interest in the DDR dog. Mr. L. Nicolai, who visited the DDR several times in that period, wrote a substantial article for the VDH magazine.
He later came back to this “sharpness”: Although redundant, my personal opinion is to warn for the thoughtless use of a DDR dog as breeding partner for a particular bitch. These dogs often possess a specific sharpness (inheritable) that definitely needs to be taken in consideration. In my opinion, only extremely characteristic bitches can be used. The inconsiderate use of these dogs can turn out wrong in two ways:
1) The reliable dog can turn vicious
2) The DDR dog can be accused of inheriting bad character. Certain off-spring of these
dogs are marked “too sharp” (dangerous for a layman) by experts.
Given that many of these laymen, according to my point of view, are the buyers / future owners of these dogs, this should be a serious consideration. With the right combination and proper education, this does not have to happen”. End of quote L. Nicolai, magazine 1985.
In the Netherlands the name Pascha can be found in the off-spring of the E-nest v Schönbach Silva. In Germany, with reference to off-spring in the father-line in the Bundessiegerprüfung, we recently run into Pascha; Chawum v Grey Power, Vox v Karthago and, being the great grandfather of the Bundessieger and WUSV world champion; Asko v Lutter.

Some reviewers say that the DDR dog, in the end, added 0,0 value for modern user value. However, looking into the large number of TOP competition dogs of the last years with Robby in the 3rd of 4th generation, this criticism is not correct:

Tom v Leefdaalhof WUSV worldchampion

Nico Akbar vice WUSV champion

Troll v Haus Milinda (WUSV), Quinto v Haus Nuyens (WUSV), Tom v Leefdaalhof (WUSV champion). In the Netherlands in the IAK or WUSV selection: Perry v Sennertal, Nico Akbar (vice world champion), Enya and Eros v Meerblick, Dax vd Reuenhoeve, Boban v ‘t Heukske, Orly vd Herdgang.
