TO STOP A PERSON WHO ESCAPES ON A BICYCLE

The dog must stop a person who is escaping on a bicycle after the command of the handler.
Parts::

From a spot, pointed out by the sampler, the helper comes walking into sight of the handler and the dog. After a notification he escapes on a bicycle. As soon as the dog is 25 metres away of the starting point, the helper bicycles out of sight of the handler and the dog in a fluent line. After the dog has come up to the helper approx. 5 to 7 metres, the helper will “accelerate”. The helper must get of of the bicycle on the side were the dog has bitten him. He walks away some steps of the bicycle and stands still.

Nowadays it is preferred for the dog to bite the leg because of the risks for dog and helper. Biting in the arm means a deduction of points.

This exercise joins on to the bicycle searching. The exercise starts when the helper is given the sign to escape and ends when the handler reaches his dog. The dog must attack and stop the helper directly, without any sign or command of the handler.
