...:: Tracking pictures ::...
On this page I put some pictures taking at an examination on 29-08-1982. The judge was Mister Toman, a welknown trainer and author of many books here in the Netherlands. My dog is tracking without a leash, and it was a very, very hot day.

Jacques and Akki |

Akki |
AKKI was not only a legendary tracker dog, she also had a very fine character.
When she was 2 years old, I bought her for almost nothing from Karin Brand, former breeder and owner of the kennel Vom Badomar. Akki was bred by Mr. Paul Moeler in Solingen (Germany). Ziggo v Bungalow x Dixie aus dem Weinbergstal.
I also had a brother of Akki, but I had him put down when he was only 3 years old, because of severe HD. He then already had VH3 and Sph. Akki spent most of her days in a bench with a younger couple, who were working at daytime and arguing at night time. Her teeth were ruined because she was nibbling on stones during daytime out of total boredom. When I waved with a hankie she shrank down to the ground.
I had her sleep alongside my bed and step by step she improved, in such a way that is was really unbelievable! She got her VH3, Tracker Dog and Kkl. 2a breeding survey very rapidly.
In setting distance she went like a bullet, but because of her worn down teeth, she had difficulty in taking up the hard, slippery sleeve. I remember an anecdote:
Pascal Autiero, the owner of the kennel Werro v Soeburcht, committed a robbery set up by us, on the residence on the upper floor from our Hotel in Domburg. After this he fled away, about 500 metres through the village, to the woods were there is a ruin. We had agreed upon him hiding in a tree at this ruin. 15 minutes after the robbery I opened the door and Akki rushed out, straight through traffic and gone she was! I went up to the agreed spot and when
I arrived in the woods I could hear her bark from miles away. Going after the sound of the barking, I found her under the tree were Pascal was hiding. I told him to get out of the tree and brought him back to the village in side transport, were his car was parked. Do not think Akki gave him as much as one opportunity to run away!
During that time I did not know anything about the KNPV program, but Akki did apparently! Akki was literally afraid of nothing anymore, she would go after a stick thrown in the surf at wind-force 10 and I would never see her again.
